Visualizing Data

This course is an introduction to data visualization. Emphasis is placed on the principles of effective visualization using real data and the implementation of recommended techniques using statistical programming.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course students will be able to:

1. Understand the principles of effective data visualization
2. Interpret and evaluate data visualizations
3. Identify the most appropriate visualization technique(s) for a given data summary
4. Design and program exploratory, statistical, and interactive visualizations of data
